In 2019, with a handful of dreams and a passion for the authenticity, we founded Tawakkal Foods—a small, manual business rooted in the heart of Kashmir. Our mission was simple yet profound: to bring the world the true flavors of our land; untarnished and genuine. From our earliest days, we’ve committed ourselves to sourcing the highest quality spices, pulses, and dry fruits directly from the valleys, fields, and farms of Kashmir. The purity of our products and the authenticity of our offerings became our hallmark, earning us the trust and love of growing number of clients. This journey soon revealed to us a larger vision: “to make the essence of Kashmir accessible to a global audience!”
This is how our e-commerce platform, “Shopping in Kashmir” was born. We transformed Tawakkal Foods from an offline venture into an online platform with the goal of reaching the masses, and from “spices” we expanded this platform to the unique Kashmiri handicrafts (from carpets, to paper mache, to walnut wood, to pashmina work), beautiful Traditional Clothing (to pherans, to shawls) and much more, ensuring that the world experiences the beauty and richness of Kashmiri products.
